Grown in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains in Xiangxi, Hunan Province, Baojing Golden Tea thrives along the golden tea-producing latitude of 28°N. Its core production area sits at an altitude of 300 to 1,200 meters, shrouded in mist for over 180 days a year with abundant diffused sunlight. The naturally selenium-rich soil with high organic matter content and over 70% forest coverage creates a pollution-free ecological environment that nurtures this exceptional tea treasure.
Baojing Golden Tea is renowned for its "four highs and four excellences": its amino acid content reaches 7.47%, twice that of ordinary green tea, with equally outstanding levels of tea polyphenols, water extracts and chlorophyll. It delivers a distinctive flavor profile — rich aroma, emerald liquor, refreshing taste and mellow aftertaste, with an elegant chestnut fragrance and lasting sweet finish. The region is home to 2,057 ancient tea trees dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the oldest over 417 years old, known as "drinkable cultural relics". The ancient tea garden system has been listed as an Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage of China.
As a National Geographical Indication Protected Product, Baojing Golden Tea adheres to organic farming standards. With approximately 10,500 hectares (over 26,000 acres) of tea gardens sprawling across verdant mountains and clear waters, every leaf embodies the natural gift of Xiangxi's mountain mists and the craftsmanship of a thousand-year tea heritage, from meticulous hand-picking to rigorous processing.
